Manav Priyan Olikara

Founder & CEO

Manav Olikara completed his masters in Advanced Computer Science from University of Manchester, UK under the Artificial Intelligence Pathway. Alan Turing considered to be the father of AI, created the Turing test whilst he was a faculty member at the prestigious University. For Manav’s dissertation, he used deep learning and other machine learning models to create a real-time system that could automatically detect the language of a spoken utterance from a subset of languages, which earned him a distinction award from the university.

In order to increase his business acumen in tandem with his technical expertise, he spent 2 years as a business consultant at a Microsoft Partner where he consulted with various multinationals and SMEs on a suite of Microsoft solutions for ERP, CRM as well as other independent Retail & Hospitality Technology solutions.

Manav considers himself a data analytics enthusiast, he is constantly trying to solve problems by finding insights from data. His discussions with his Mentor Dr. Manoj Nakra made him realize the value that can be added to the domain of customer analytics and CEM, and inspired him to create A2I.

Manav has a keen interest in Deep Learning which he explores in his free time. He is an avid supporter of new age innovations such as self-driving cars, nanotechnology, synthetic biology to name a few and believes that it will push humanity to the next frontier.

Dr. Manoj Nakra

Advisor

Dr. Manoj has over thirty years of work experience, with expertise in manufacturing, retail and distribution. His experience encompasses industry (21 years), academia (3 years), and Government (6 years).

He has focused upon creation of new businesses in his career in diverse sectors like renewable energy, algal bio-technology, aquaculture, retail, and specialized chemicals. His managerial expertise encompasses conceptualizing and starting innovative businesses, strategy execution with bottom-line orientation, and organizational-capability development.

He was the Executive Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME development, DubaiSME, an agency of Dubai Government´s Department of Economic Development, focused upon developing entrepreneurship by incubating and funding innovative start-ups.

In 2004 he established SmartGlobal, a specialized strategy-development and executive education company.

From 1996-2001 he was DyCEO of Jashanmal National Co. (JNC), a $75 m GCC retail and distribution company. Before Dubai, he spent eleven years with Ballarpur Industries Ltd. (Thapar Group) in India where he started The Waterbase Ltd., as CEO, a company he took public.

He has a Doctorate in Management from Case Western Reserve University, USA, an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi,India, and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, India.

He taught strategy to MBA students at Case and is an occasional guest faculty at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Prof. Dwarika Uniyal

Dr Uniyal started his career as a Manager in a retail firm and learnt the basics of the business. After his corporate stint, he has been teaching at premier business schools in India and Middle East in various academic capacities. He was the Founding Dean (Academic) of Jindal Global Business School, O P Jindal Global University where he was instrumental in setting up a new business school.

In an academic career spread over 20 years, he served as faculty member in premier Business Schools like S P Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai; SPJGSM, Dubai-Singapore (where as a founder faculty member he helped build the global business school in Dubai) and Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA).

He has co-authored bestselling text book titled "Managing Retailing", which was published by Oxford University Press.Over the years he has been invited to deliver keynotes lectures and conduct workshops and corporate training programmes across US, UK, Middle East,Japan, China, South East Asia and India.

He also serves on the Board of Management of leading academic institutes in Uttarakhand and advisory board of few start-up firms of his ex-students and mentors them regularly. He is Part Time, Non-Official Director on the Board of Braithwaite Company Limited (Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India)

Prof. Piyush Kumar Sinha

Professor Piyush Kumar Sinha is a faculty in the area of marketing and retailing at IIMA. He has more than three decades of academic and industry experience. He has taught at leading management schools of India. Prior to joining IIMA, he was the Dean at MICA. He teaches Retailing, Consumer Behaviour and Marketing Management MBA to Ph.D. students. He has been the Chairperson of the Centre for Retailing at IIMA.

Dr. Sinha has consulted companies in the areas of retail efforts, service management,marketing strategies, and marketing communication. His clients include companies from engineering, software, media, petroleum and retailing. He is working with some of the leading retailing companies in India. The projects include loyalty programmes, enhancing the performance of the outlets and redefining the role of the outlets in the new environments.

Dr. Sinha is involved in carrying out research in the area of retailing and consumer research and healthcare services. He has several international publications to his credit. He is one of the few resources working in the area of qualitative research in marketing in India.

He is associated as a mentor with several start-ups, especially those promoting social entrepreneurship.

Ashutosh Dutt

Ashutosh Dutt is an Associate Professor in the field of Quantitative Marketing Research at MICA (Ahmedabad, India) for the last 6 years. He is based out of Gurgaon, India and has taught at other Management institutes including Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur, Symbiosis, Pune and Development Management Institute, Patna.

His area of expertise is Marketing Research and Analytics. His courses include Quantitative Techniques, Business Analytics, Multivariate Data Analysis, Marketing Research, Online Research and Pricing Research. He has more than 13 years of experience. For the first 5 years of his career he worked in the IT, MR and Data Analytics industry after which he has been a regular in academics.
